Day 3: Breckenridge to Arches National Park

-7am Wakeup Call

-8am Depart Breckenridge

-8:32am
Got gas in Frisco, Colorado. It was Greg’s turn to pay for this tank of gas, and he got absolutely demolished. $65 later we were off and running

-9:45am
Stopped in the town of “No Name” Colorado for a quick bathroom break. No, I’m not kidding, the exit was literally called “No Name”

-11:23am
We’ve finally arrived in Utah and are hoping to start seeing some Desert-y type of stuff

-11:45am
Just got off of Interstate 70 for the first time since Pennsylvania, there’s a whole lot of nothing out here, and that’s exactly what we came here for

-12noon
Just entered a sonic byway that takes us through Castle Valley and drops us off in Moab, Utah. This road was so sick, with huge cliffs everywhere and a river running in the middle of the canyon. We would’ve ripped the drones up and down the canyon, but the wind was so bad there was no shot

-1pm
Ate BBQ at a place called the Blu Pig. Was super good but super expensive, I think my lunch was around $30, but I’m not gonna complain, I’m on vacation

-1:42pm
Gassed and headed to our boy Archie’s house (hope it’s lit)

-1:45pm
Made it to Arches National Park (our boy Archie’s house)

-2pm
Checked out a place called “Windows” which are basically just some huge arches that give you a super cool view when you hike up to the top of them and look thru the “window”

-2:15pm
Walked across the street to a hike called “Double Arches” which is exactly what it sounds like, an incredibly large set of two arches

-3pm
Hiked to the most famous arch in all of Arches National Park: Delicate Arch. This hike was about a 3.5 mile round trip straight up the side of a mountain, and shockingly neither of us felt the need to bring any form of hiking clothes, so by the end of the ordeal our feet were shot and we were ready to set up shop at our campsite. Here’s a pic of delicate arch

-5pm
Arrived at our campground at Devil’s Garden. Our site was awesome and came with a picnic table, a huge parking spot, and a fire pit. We attempted to cook some food on the fire, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we wind up with food poisoning after that whole ordeal. Smoke in our eyes, and hamburger meat that has been in the back of a car for 3 days straight is basically a disaster waiting to happen, I guess we’ll find out what happens soon enough

-8pm
Greg and I hiked up the road within our campsite and found an arch off in the distance, and boy did we go to photo town. We climbed up this cliff in the pitch black, set up our tripods and let it rip. Honestly these pictures turned out insane, and I’m just gonna post way too many of them here because I love them so much

10pm
Bed time. Our air mattress is 100% leaking, the pump we use doesn’t seem to be working for more than 25 seconds at a time, the wind is gusting at 30mph, and its getting colder by the second. This will sure as hell be an interesting evening
