Day 10: Nashville to State College
-6:45am
Wakeup
-7:45am
Leave for the final day of driving
-11:25am
Louisville, KY. Greg’s sister just moved here a month or so ago, and since it’s directly on the way home, we decided to stop in and see her new place. This place was inside of an old cotton mill, so it had super high ceilings, funky hard wood floors, and pictures all over the hallways of what the mill used to look like almost a hundred years ago. After checking her place out, stuffing our faces with donuts and pizza, we were back on the road for our final long-ass stretch of driving for the trip
-2:25pm
Cincinnati, OH. Just passing through here I can tell it’s not necessarily a place I’d like to hangout…
-4:30pm
Passing through Columbus, OH. I hate OSU
-5pm
Found a huge fireworks store somewhere on the highway in Ohio. After signing my life away upon arrival in the store, and literally signing a paper that said I promise I’m not a terrorist, I was allowed to look around the fireworks store and see what I could waste my money on. $27 later I was on my way
-6:35pm
Finally back in Pennsylvania. Although it’s only been 10 days, it feels like I’ve been away for about a month
-9:45pm
Back in State College. We made it. I know today’s blog was super boring, but driving almost 15 hours isn’t the most exhilarating thing in the world. All in all we crossed through 16 states, drove 5,700 miles, burned almost $1000 worth of gasoline (400 gallons), murdered a deer with my truck, and spent almost 140 hours in the car. All in all this trip was a great experience, and I can’t wait to do it again one day
